My internal audit program is struggling

Here are some thoughts to consider:
Outsourcing is no longer just a trend. It is the future. In fact, it is becoming more and more difficult for internal providers to compete with specialized vendors. This is as true of auditing as it is of warehousing and distribution. The growth of our business is proof that the outsourcing of audits is the future. You can get it, today. A. Internal auditors are fixed overhead with an inevitable, upward momentum on cost. We are a a flexible resource that costs much less from the very beginningwith no sacrifice in quality.
B. Internal programs typically are unable to afford to keep up with the newest technology and latest techniques. The only thing we do is audits for convenience stores which means we dont have to justify having new technology, we just buy it or build it. Its a key to our business success.
C. Recruiting, training, and retaining are easier for us. We offer a career path, not just entry-level or make do jobs.
Good news: the head of your audit department is probably the right person to direct our efforts and to oversee the audit program. Additionally, we would like to interview your employee auditors for positions with us. You can do the right thing for your company and for your people by outsourcing to us. (They will have to pass a drug test.).
In 1994 we decided that to get the quality of audit we wanted, wed have to invest too much money in technology and training to keep our in-house service up to date. It made economic sense to hire outside specialists who invest in equipment and training because its their core business. When we looked at all the costs, we found that Quantum Services costs us less than having an in-house service, and were getting higher quality. ~ Rutters Farm Stores
